Introduction:

Using PC skills has become an essential core skill for any of us. The Information Technology has become an important part of our life at homes, banks, supermarkets, ministries, works, airports …etc.
Wherever you go, whatever you want to do, you need these skills, they have become essential enablers in our lives.

Target Audience:
* Staff.
* Job seekers.
* Mature students 16 years plus.

Program objectives:
The program aim to:
Build the essential IT skills for users, namely:
o Word.
o Excel.
o Access.
o PowerPoint.
o Overall knowledge of hardware.
o Internet.
Improve PC users' competency in line with local market requirements.


Assessment:
The candidates will complete two types of assessment:
Knowledge test: this is on line assessment of 7 sessions.
Skills test: this is manual completion of tasks for:
o Excel.
o Access.
o Word.
o PowerPoint.
o Internet Searching.

Candidate must pass both assessments to be a Certified Computer Driver – CCD.

Assessment Criteria:
The assessors should ensure the following:
* Candidate's ability in using the PC operationally.
* Candidate understanding of basic hardware related issues.
* Candidate's ability to achieve maximum market needs i.e. Word Processing - 30 words per minute in both Arabic and English.

Trainers

  Must be qualified users of MS word applications
  (not only ICDL holders)
